Memoirs of A Teenage Girl(Chapter 2)

She ran as hard as she could, towards her school. She was panting and wiping her sweat on her forehead. I cannot miss him, she thought. After a 5 minutes run, she reached her school. Looking at her watch, ‘1 minute left,’ she murmured.

Carefully, she took out a tiny mirror and powder from her pocket. She checked her face by using the mirror while putting powder on her face. ‘All set,’ she told herself. Suddenly she became excited and her heart started to race. ‘He’s coming!! He’s coming!!’ she whispered. She quickly checked her face and her hair for the last time. Then, she shut the lid and slotted them into the pocket.

Looking at him, far away, she checked everything that was on her. While checking how far he was, she ran her fingers through her hair to straighten them.

‘Hey Koike. Good morning!!’ she said it calmly and grinned at him so that he wouldn’t sense that she liked him. He walked passing in front of her without saying a word, not even looking at her. Her heart was shattered. Deeply inside, she could hear the creaking sound of her heart but she convinced herself that it must be he couldn’t hear what she said. ‘Maybe I was talking too soft and he didn’t hear what I said just now. It must be….’ She tried to comfort herself.

She knew him just only for 1 month but the first day she saw him, she felt she had fallen for him. She found him adorable but whenever she tried to talk to him, he seemed to be ignorant. However, she comforted herself by using the same excuse, which was he couldn’t hear what she had said. Although she could feel the burning pain and sadness in heart whenever he ignored her, she could forget them after sometime. She thought that she could forget them all but she didn’t know that those feelings were just buried in her heart and haven’t been forgotten. Disappointedly, she walked towards her classroom.

‘Hey Chinatsu, good morning….’ Her best friend came running to her.

‘Morning, Aiko.’ She said while placing her bag on the floor. ‘What is happening?? You look so excited.’

‘The English teacher is going to announce our conduct marks afterwards,’ she said while grabbing her arms. ‘And you are going to get full marks and get the first place in our class like last time.’

‘Oh really? Seriously? Who told you that?’ She asked happily and grinned, thinking of she would get the first place in her class just made her thrilled.

‘I was in the staff room just now and asking about when would her going to announce our result and she said she was going to announce it afterwards,’ Aiko tried to convince her.
